Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition

On Tuesday I got the Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition for Xbox One. I didn't get to play it till last night, for only about two hours. I am really enjoying the game so far. The batmobile is pretty bad ass, but I still have to get use to the controls for it.

In the limited edition I got the game for Xbox One, a comic, steel case, art book, and a statue of Batman as seen in pictures below.

Apparently the statue lights up, as a package of three AA batteries where included. I haven't put in the batteries yet, not sure if I want to at this time, but that is a cool feature.

It kind of sucks with the whole issues on the PC version of this game. I know it is not Rocksteady's fault, the finger should really get pointed at WB for sloppy management of the PC port. They should have funded more money and got a better third party studio to do it. But at least WB is finally owning up to it and taking the PC port off the shelves and getting the code ready for a better release version of the PC version. That is why I got the Xbox One version, but it is a real slap in the face for PC only gamers. Hopefully they deliver a better PC version soon.

Been Playing Witcher 3...

I wasn't a big fan of the first two games, but my friend convinced me to pick up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and I am liking it. I have to say this game is way better then the others before it. The open world is one of the major reason I am liking the third one. Even though Batman is coming out today, I plan to play and beat this game before the Fall releases come out. But for now I'll take a little break, because Batman is out. 😎

Finally Beat Divinity: Original Sin

One of the greatest turn based RPGs I have ever played, has come to an end for me. It took me a year, mostly with months worth of breaks in between play sessions, but I beat the game this past weekend. This little gem was an amazing Kick Starter game that blew me away. And thanks to it, I have renewed faith in turn based RPGs. I just hope the developer makes a sequel, though I have heard that they are now bringing this game to major consoles. So if you haven't played it yet and only have a console, good news to hear they are creating a version for them. Head on over to their website to learn more and dive into this epic adventure.

E3 2015 Is Right Around The Corner

With E3 coming next week (June 16 - 18), I am excited to learn more about a few games on my radar.

Fallout 4

First on my list that I can't wait to see more about is "Fallout 4". I came across the Fallout franchise when Fallout 3 came out back in 2008. Since then I have been hooked. Though many say New Vegas is the best, I felt Fallout 3 was better. Main reason, I like the location better. New Vegas felt like just a huge desert and the city it self was pretty disappointing. But it still was a great game, I just prefer the third one over New Vegas.

Fallout 4's location is going to be set in Boston. And even though Bethesda did release a in-game trailer, we didn't get to see much of the game play or even a release date. Hope to get more info about the game and it's release during E3. If you haven't already seen it, here is the Trailer Bethesda released not to long ago.

The next game I can't wait to learn more about, and they have been pretty secretive about it for the last few years, is "DOOM". Nothing much is known about this game or what it even looks like or what the game play will be like. There was a small 11 second teaser for E3 2015, but even that doesn't show us much about the game. So as you can see I am very eager to know more and I hope to even get a release date this time.

Here is the teaser trailer for the game from last year:

XCOM: Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within was some of the best strategy games I have ever played in a very long time. Yes, it had it's faults and Enemy Within was more of a add-on pack then an expansion, but it was still a damn fine game. Now that 2K Games has announced that XCOM 2 is coming this November, I can't wait to learn more about this game next week. I still don't know how I feel about the whole, you lost the fight in the first game story line. But that aside, it sounds like XCOM 2 is going to be a pretty bad-ass sequel. I am just hoping to see some game play next week.

If you haven't seen it already, here is the trailer:

These are the three games I am very excited to see during E3 next week. But that doesn't mean they are the only games. I hope to be surprised at least once, and learn more about upcoming games like Tomb Raider, StarCraft's final expansion, Quantum Break, The Division, and many others.

I Am Spoiled: My MMO Dilemma

In the past 12 years I have played countless MMOs, such as World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Warhammer, The Old Republic, and more. but none have ever been as satisfying of a game, then my first MMO.

Back in 2003 and after coming off the high of Diablo 2, I picked up my first major MMO called "Star Wars Galaxies". Ever since no other MMO has ever been close to what SWG has created.

Star Wars Galaxies when it first launched was an amazing MMO that let you do what ever you wanted. There were no zones, levels, or any of that BS. Everything was player run and you could do what ever you wanted. They gave you a simple training then sent you into the world alone. One of the best things about Galaxies was the fact that you can make your place in the Star Wars universe with out playing a major character. Become whom ever you wanted in the Star Wars universe. It was a dream come true and the first expansion, Jump To Light Speed, made it even better. To be able to fly around with your own customized ship was amazing. Then something happened and it all went to hell. I blame it mostly on greed and the success of WoW.

It first started because SOE wanted to compete with WoW, so they tried to "FIX" the combat in SWG. I mostly played a character who crafted, but I did enjoy the combat. It wasn't perfect, but it worked for the game. Then they decided to have this great idea of having classes, like WoW did. The best thing about SWG was no classes, you can mix and match what ever you wanted. It wasn't perfect or not broken but it worked well for what SWG was. Instead of making what they created work, SOE decided to try and take the piece of the World of Warcraft pie and copy and do what ever that game did. As an added bonus to try to get Star Wars movie goers, they also tried to throw in all the Episode 3 crap. SOE destroyed their own game cause of greed.

I have tried, many of MMOs I have tried. They all seem the same. Or at least I feel that way because I was spoiled and played the greatest MMO (before it was destroyed) ever created. I just hope one day, someone will create that awesomeness of an open world MMO, with out trying to stuff all of the crap from WoW and Everquest into it. Many companies before them have failed trying to copy WoW. You can't do it, WoW is what it is. Blizzard has done a great job making an amazing MMO. It just so happens to not be my cup of tea, because like I said before I am spoiled.
