Fallout 4 - Pip-Boy Edition

So it has been a bit of a delay in posting this, but last week around November 10th I got the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy PC edition.

It is a nice big case that holds the Pip-Boy replica from the game. Which is pretty cool looking.

It works with an app that goes on either your iPhone or Andriod phone. The app can be synced with the game to see your inventory and mess with your Pip-Boy in real life. I haven't done this as I have been just playing the game without this feature. I just thought this was really cool looking as it sits on the display stand. It would get in the way of my chair and keyboard if I tried to use it during the game. Lol!

It also comes with a Steel-Book case with the DVD game disc.

Which in it self looks really cool. But I quickly found out to install the game it requires Steam. Not a problem with me, but some peeps might not like that. Over all I am happy with the Pip-Boy edition, it looks awesome on my desk and the case is on my book shelf. But the most important part is the game.

Over all Fallout 4 has gotten pretty damn good reviews. For me it is well worth the price thus far, and I have gotten re-addicted to the Fallout open world I fell in love with so much back in 2008. Now, if you excuse me I have more raiders to kill in the Commonwealth.  :-)

BlizzCon 2015

This weekend I was over my friends watching BlizzCon 2015. A lot of interesting new things are coming to Blizzard games. The main focus of this years BlizzCon was Overwatch and WoW expansion, but some new additions are coming to Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2.

Diablo 3 is getting a new patch, 2.4.0, coming most likely around early next year. It will add a lot of features that sound interesting. They are making seasons more interesting to play, adding a few new areas to explore, a new feature to the Cube that came out in 2.3.0, and revamping the UI to stream line it a bit. Also they are adding dungeons that will focus challenges based on Set items. Other then a new patch, there was no information on an expansion if any is coming to Diablo 3 this year. But the patch does sound interesting. Glad they are supporting Diablo 3 with more content and tweaks.

The next major thing I am excited about is for StarCraft 2. The final expansion is coming out in under two days, but they are already talking about supporting SC2 after this last expansion. The biggest news was Mission Packs, focusing around Nova coming out Spring of 2016, and Co-Op missions. I find Co-Op missions interesting, because it would be the first time I seen something like this on a RTS from Blizzard. Now instead of just facing computer AI or other players with your friends, you can team up with regular Co-Op missions. I think the first will be released with the expansion and more to come next year. So good to hear the future of StarCraft 2 is bright.

The other major news was Overwatch, which reminds me of Team Fortress 2, is releasing June 2016 and they are already selling pre-orders for the game. I don't know how I feel about Overwatch just yet. I might wait on this one before I pick it up.

I am not into World of Warcraft (WoW) any more, but they did talk a lot about the new expansion which I think comes out Summer of 2016. So for me, this years BlizzCon wasn't that much exciting, but there was great news on the StraCraft 2 front and more support for Diablo 3. Hopefully next year we will hear about another expansion for Diablo 3 (crosses fingers).

Ohh and they also released the trailer for the new WarCraft movie that comes out summer of 2016.

Here is the trailer:
