Nintendo Switch & Red Dead Redemption 2

This week had some major announcements. RockStar Games announced Red Dead Redemption 2 finally and Nintendo officially announced their new console titled Nintendo Switch.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is slated for a Fall 2017 release. So we have a whole year to wait for this title. It has only been confirmed for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version hasn't been announced yet. It maybe possible they are pulling a GTA V and launch the PC version later down the road. To ease the year wait RockStar released a trailer today for RDR2. You can check it out below.

Today Nintendo finally announced and showed off the Nintendo Switch. Yup, that is it's official name the Nintendo Switch. Above is a picture of what the console will look like. It is going to be a hybrid of a home console and mobile console. Basically, Nintendo is merging it's home console and mobile console brands into one. I really like this idea, because now I don't have to own a DS and a home console to play games. They will all be on one main console. No official specs have been announced yet but Nvidia did confirm that the Nintendo Switch will have a custom Tegra chip in it. Nvidia's Tegra chip is in their shield products along with many other third party brands. No price point has been officially announced yet, but the console is slated for a March 2017 release date.

To see more on how the console is suppose to work, check out Nintendo's marketing video they released today.
